What you just connected
SlickFast turns a JSON spec into a chart or a whole Page — same picture forever, no headless browser. Agents call tools. People open URLs. Add `.json` to any Page for the twin (the recipe).
You are reading onboarding as a Page on purpose. That is how we talk.
Chart vs Page
- Chart — one image to drop into a chat, README, or Slack. Tool: `render_chart`.
- Page — a designed document (hero, prose, charts, fingerprint). Tools: `describe_pagespec` → `render_page` → optional `publish_page`.
- News — product drops live at slickfast.com/news. Tool: `news`.
Ask for SVG when you want the picture to show reliably in chat artifacts.
Local vs hosted
- Local MCP (`npx @slickfast/mcp`) — renders on your machine. No telemetry.
- Hosted MCP (`mcp.slickfast.com`) — same tools; custom renders need a free or paid SF- key.
Stuck on an old install? Ask Update / refresh SlickFast (or call `mcp_status`) — facts only; restart the client after `npx -y @slickfast/mcp`.
Do this next
1. Call `gallery` — see what we can draw.
2. Build one small chart with `render_chart` (bar or KPI is fine).
3. Open SlickFast News or call `news`.
4. When you want a document, call `describe_pagespec` then `render_page`.
